Equipping Leaders to Transform Communities in India

Home > More Like the Kingdom > Equipping Leaders to Transform Communities in India

In India, local pastors and missionaries play a critical role in bringing hope and transformation. Our local ministry leader’s Bible college is equipping their students to plant churches, share the gospel, and address the greatest needs of their communities. Each year, this training sends out leaders who are prepared to make a lasting impact in the lives of those they serve.

Practical Training for Real Impact

The local Bible College provides hands-on training in Bible study, discipleship, and community development. Students are taught not just to preach but to meet people where they are, addressing both their spiritual and practical needs to bring hope and transformation to villages where resources are scarce and the gospel has yet to be heard.

Inspiring Stories of Ministry

Hasbas discovered his passion for ministry while studying at the local Bible College. With a background in Civil Engineering, he answered God’s call to equip himself further with a Master of Divinity. After graduation, Hasbas and his wife moved to the Middle East to minister to Indian construction workers. They started by inviting workers to their home for weekly meals, offering friendship and support. As relationships deepened, Hasbas shared the gospel, and today, 42 men are gathering to learn about Christ. Seven have already been baptized. Praise God for the incredible impact of this ministry!

Rao’s journey began when he joined the local Bible College’s Non-formal Training Program. With a vision to reach unreached villages, he committed to planting one mother church and five daughter churches in seven years. God multiplied his efforts, and by the end of his mission, he had established 10 churches. Rao is now training 60 pastors in his district, equipping them to disciple others and reach their entire state for Christ. This is the power of developing transformational leaders who are dedicated to advancing God’s Kingdom.

Building for the Future

The new Education Center at the local Bible College is making progress. The foundation has been completed, and construction is moving forward. Once finished, this center will train even more leaders to serve communities in need and share the love of Christ. Please pray for continued safety, good weather, and swift progress to complete this project.
