Our local partner in Pokot, Kenya has been working closely with Mission ONE since 2000. Together with their dedicated team, they operate in the remote areas of Northern Kenya and South Sudan, spreading the love of Jesus and the message of the gospel. Currently, this ministry supports a team of 21 leaders, including 3 local missionaries and pastors, 4 teachers, 10 healthcare professionals, and 4 office staff, all serving with a heart dedicated to ministry.
From education and healthcare to planting churches, each effort is carefully planned to uplift the community and spread the light of Christ.
Our local partner has launched several projects to uplift the Pokot community. By investing time in building relationships and listening to the community’s needs, our local partner has laid the groundwork for development. Today, the impact of this investment is evident in the established churches, a school for girls, and accessible healthcare services.

Empowering the Community with Efforts Rooted in Faith
The 3 churches planted by this ministry stand as pillars of faith and unity, offering a sanctuary for worship and a gathering place for the community. These churches symbolize compassion, solidarity, and faith that unite people in times of joy and hardship.
One remarkable effort is the founding of an All Girls School, in partnership with the local government. This school has been providing high quality education to girls in Pokot over the past 3 years. With the government generously funding two teachers’ salaries and covering tuition costs for 27 girls, this effort is breaking barriers to education and empowering young women to pursue brighter futures and contribute to their communities.
Another achievement in this ministry’s journey is the establishment of 3 medical clinics dedicated to addressing critical healthcare challenges in Pokot. With a lack of medical facilities, vaccinations, and maternal care contributing to high mortality rates, our local partner recognized the urgent need for accessible healthcare services. Through this project, three clinics have been set up, staffed by 10 dedicated healthcare professionals. These clinics not only provide essential medical care but also serve as platforms for community health education and empowering individuals to lead longer, healthier lives.
