Pray for the Women of the Sewing Ministry in Eldoret

Home > More Like the Kingdom > Pray for the Women of the Sewing Ministry in Eldoret

The Sewing Ministry in Kipkaren, Eldoret is more than a skills program—it’s a chance for women to rebuild their lives. Many have faced hardship, rejection, and loss, but through this ministry, they are stepping into hope and opportunity. Here, they are not just learning to sew; they are finding purpose, healing, and a new beginning.

As they take their first steps in this journey, will you join us in prayer for them?

Women Embracing Hope and New Beginnings

Behind every trainee in this ministry is a story. Here are just a few of the incredible women who need your prayers:

  • Cecilia Jelagat (42, mother of 2) – Abandoned by her husband, Cecilia struggled to raise her children alone. She once suffered from a severe leg infection but was healed after prayer. Now, she’s determined to create a better future.
  • Dinah Lokutoi (mother of 8) – After losing her husband to cancer and five of her sons to illness, Dinah has endured incredible loss. She believes this program will bring the change she desperately needs.
  • Florida Jepkorir (32) – Losing her father to alcoholism led Florida down a similar path of addiction and sex work. She’s now seeking a fresh start and hope for a better life.
  • Faith Chelimo (25, mother of 1) – After being abandoned by her child’s father and rejected by another partner, Faith is determined to build a stable future for her child through the Sewing Ministry.
  • Faith Jeruto (24) – Rejected by her mother and raised by her grandmother, Faith fell into a destructive relationship. After hearing Janet preach, she gave her life to Christ and is ready to start anew.
  • Florence Muhonja (38, mother of 4) – A survivor of gender-based violence, Florence lost her mother to cancer and was left to raise her children alone. She is determined to turn her life around through this program.
  • Marian Arero Boru (21) – The youngest of eight siblings, Marian grew up in a Muslim home. Through her mother’s connection to Pastor Kosgei, she met Janet and joined the Sewing Ministry to help break the cycle of poverty in her family.
