Peter Howard
Chairman
Peter serves on the Misson ONE Board where he brings is nearly 20 years' experience in relief and development work. Having served previously as a Country Director in Indonesia as well as Chief International Operations Officer for Food for the Hungry, Peter has hands-on experience in development work and humanitarian aid. He is passionate about journeying with people around the world through beauty, goodness, and truth to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. Peter enjoys biking to local coffee shops in downtown Phoenix with his wife and children to share pastries and conversations.

Olivia Mulerwa
Mission ONE President
Olivia is the President of Mission ONE, a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing both the physical and spiritual needs of communities in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. In her role, she focuses on creating a positive impact through love, compassion, and connection. With a passion for nonprofit leadership, international development, and public policy, Olivia has traveled to over eight countries across four continents to further her mission.
Equipped with two master’s degrees in Law and International Business, Olivia has extensive experience in transitional justice, human rights, and international education. Her notable achievements include authoring Rwanda’s first National Human Rights Policy while working for the Ministry of Justice of Rwanda and collaborating closely with the United Nations. Olivia’s comprehensive background and hands-on experience make her a sought-after speaker for conferences and events, where she shares her invaluable insights on nonprofit leadership, global justice, and human rights advocacy.

Werner Mischke
Mission ONE Vice President
Werner has been serving with Mission ONE since 1992. He leads our Training Ministry and currently serves as Vice President. He is the author of The Global Gospel: Achieving Missional Impact in Our Multicultural World (2015). Werner is a key leader of the Honor-Shame Network which helps facilitate a global conversation about honor, shame, and the gospel in missiology and theology. He served as coordinator of the Honor-Shame Conference held at Wheaton College in June 2017, and has taught on “Honor, Shame and the Gospel” in Brazil, India, Lebanon, New Zealand, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States.

Casey K. Brennan
Treasurer
Casey Brennan has served on the Mission One board since 2018. Casey is a Partner and CFO for NALS Apartment Homes, which owns and operates multifamily apartments across the country. Prior to joining NALS, Casey held a variety of CFO roles for General Electric. Casey is a graduate of GE’s corporate management training program and received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology. Casey is married with three children and is actively involved in Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara.

Kevin Holt
Secretary
Kevin brings a diverse background to the table, having spent several years serving entrepreneurs in subject matters including strategic consulting, taxation, and investment management. Additionally, Kevin's experience includes multiple roles in professional baseball, both as a player and on the business side, working with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kevin traveled to Kenya with Mission ONE where he was able to meet and hear the stories of young women whose lives have been changed by the sewing project. Kevin has been married to his wife, Lindsey, since 2006. They have 3 children, Gavin, Audra, and Hadley.

Bob Schindler
Bob is the Founder and Global Ambassador of Mission ONE. His life of faith began when he accepted Christ while attending university. After working in a family business, he and his wife, Diana, traveled as evangelists beginning in 1978. During a teaching engagement in Africa, God planted a seed in Bob’s heart to come alongside His faithful servants in developing nations, as they evangelize and plant churches among unreached peoples. After much prayer and counsel, the partnership ministry of Mission ONE was born in 1991. Diana passed away in 2002. Bob married Linda in 2005. Together they travel extensively in the US, representing Mission ONE, and internationally, serving our indigenous partners.

Barrett Jones
Barret works as a financial advisor for Strategic Financial Partners and as a college football analyst for ESPN part-time during the fall. He received a scholarship to play football at the University of Alabama, where he was a four-year starter and the team won three national championships. In 2013, He was drafted by the S.t Louis Rams in the fourth round and played three seasons in the NFL spending time with the Rams, Steelers, Bears, and Eagles. Barret and his wife Katie are active members at Harvest Church in Germantown, Tennessee, and enjoy serving their local community on several nonprofit boards.

Dave Curtis
Having worked in a wide variety of roles across the nonprofit and technology sectors, Dave brings a wealth of experience and perspectives to the Mission ONE Board. Getting his BA in History at Calvin University, Dave also holds an Executive MBA degree from Quantic University. He spent the majority of his career serving in varied capacities at Food for the Hungry, including leadership roles in marketing, communications, executive administration, and strategic planning. He also spent time in nonprofit relations at Virtuous CRM, and currently supports Knowledge Management, internal communications, and special projects at Compassion International. Dave, and his wife Brittani, keep busy with their three young children in Phoenix, AZ.

Alex Lind
Alex brings a diverse background of accounting and finance, academia, and international missions to the Mission One Team. Currently working at Swift Transportation, Alex advises two of the company’s largest business lines. Equipped with a master’s degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Alex has worked alongside small to medium size international companies grow and become financially independent. Living in west Phoenix, Alex has been married to his wife, Taylor, since 2019 and have a newborn son.

Christianna Robertson
Christianna is a Vice President with CCS Fundraising leading capital campaigns, feasibility studies, and interim development strategic services in support of clients across nearly every nonprofit sector and on both the east and west coasts. She is a proud graduate of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Taylor University, and has earned the respected CFRE and CSPG designations. Raised in the Midwest, she happily calls Phoenix home and can often be found traveling to National Parks or entertaining friends on her patio.

Mercy Niwe
Mercy Niwe is a strategic leader with 20+ years of experience in public, private, and non-governmental organizations. She has a strong record of success developing and leading strategies, programs, and policies to increase the impact of international development programs.
She currently serves as an External Affairs Advisor to the World Bank Group’s Vice President, Human Resources. In this capacity, she leads global communication strategies to position the World Bank Group as the global leader in development and mobilize support for its work and mission.
Her diverse experience and deep expertise also include policy design and advocacy; managing diverse partnerships; finance and program management; integrating behavioral change into organizational systems; and managing women economic empowerment programs.
