Christianna & Jesse

rock-16

As Christianna and Jesse start their adventure as a married couple, they want to begin building a legacy of impact for the Kingdom by inviting their community to join them in supporting a coffee project in Nepal through Mission ONE.

Christianna serves on the Board at Mission ONE and Jesse has enjoyed getting to know the ministry over the past several months.

Mission ONE Partners with indigenous ministries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to bring the gospel to unreached peoples and help make communities look more like the Kingdom of God. Christianna joined the Board a year ago and has enjoyed contributing to this important gospel mission.

Mission ONE is unique among mission and development organizations because:

  • We focus on building long-term relationships of trust, with most partnerships spanning over 20 years.
  • We listen to our partners for their vision for gospel transformation and support them in executing it well.
  • We recognize that context matters, and only the people who live in a community can know how best to bring meaningful impact there.
  • We invest in supporting our partner ministries to become locally sustained over the long term because this work is too important and must continue.

a heart for nepal

Nepal has been special to Christianna since she traveled to the country in 2019 on vacation. While there, she saw the worship of physical idols for the first time. It was devastating to see people who didn’t know Jesus, the risen and living savior, worshipping a manmade wood figurine.

When she and Jesse thought about their wedding, they couldn’t imagine a better gift than supporting ministry in Nepal. Giving to ministry in Nepal in honor of their marriage would delight them.

What is the Nepal Coffee Project? What Will It Accomplish?

Mission ONE’s Nepal partners are a married couple who have planted over 200 churches and walked with over 1,400 people as they found hope in Christ. They came and spoke to Christianna’s small group last Spring, too!

This coffee project is a way to support the ministry partners in Nepal to sustain their ministry locally. Nepal’s favorable climate keeps the soil rich in nutrients and moisture, which has proven to pair well with the preferred conditions for growing quality coffee.. The market for coffee has also grown in Nepal and overseas, allowing it to be sold locally and internationally.

This project will provide job opportunities for women, families, and church leaders and allow them to earn a dignified income. It will create a safe space for them to be encouraged in who God is, who He has called them to be, and their unique role in the Kingdom of God.

As it generates an income, the coffee project will be able to directly support the local church plants and pastors sharing God's love with unreached people groups.
