Celebrating Women in Missions and Coming Alongside the Work

This year’s Women’s Brunch brought together 45 women to celebrate and support women in missions. It was a meaningful morning centered on partnership and faithfulness as we reflected on the work God is growing through leaders like Pastor Dewi (name changed for safety).

We were honored to have Jackie Parks serve as our emcee. Jackie previously worked at Mission ONE, and it was meaningful to have her back. She shared how her experience here continues to shape the way she pastors today in the South Scottsdale area. It was encouraging to see how global missions and local ministry are not separate stories, but deeply connected.

Olivia shared next. She spoke about her own journey and encouraged the women in the room to take their place in the communities God has already given them. She encouraged them to see the impact of their own faithfulness. Whether serving across the world or loving their own neighborhoods well, their obedience matters.

One of the most meaningful parts of the morning was hearing from our partner in Indonesia, Pastor Dewi.

Pastor Dewi leads a network of 55 missionaries serving throughout Indonesia. Many of them work in areas where the gospel is yet to be heard. We heard testimonies of villages coming to know the Lord of new believers growing in faith, and of steady work that is changing communities from the inside out.

Her ministry is also focused on preparing the next generation of workers. Alongside her team, she trains and equips prospective frontline workers who will be sent to Unreached People Groups (UPGs) across the country.

By the end of the morning, $11,065 had been raised toward our $30,000 goal. The funds raised from the brunch will support and strengthen the work Pastor Dewi and her team have been faithfully leading for years. They will help continue training and equipping frontline workers while sustaining the missionaries already serving in local communities.

And of course, we enjoyed brunch together. We held an exciting raffle and spent time connecting around the tables. The fellowship felt natural and unhurried.

It was a reminder that when women come together with shared purpose, their impact reaches far beyond the moment.

We are grateful for every woman who joined us and for the work that will be strengthened in Indonesia because of it.
