Get To Know Mission ONE's Young Professionals Board Member

Sarah is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience as a nurse. Her professional background is in critical care, and as a nurse practitioner, she has a passion for working with underserved populations both locally and internationally. She currently works in the addiction medicine field, treating opioid use disorder in Phoenix, Arizona. Sarah's personal mission statement in life is to make people feel and know that they are seen, along with their pain, and that they have a place full of hope in which to belong as an integral part of God's chosen people. She seeks to live with a personal mission to never be bound by fear and to always be on a journey seeking more freedom for herself and for the communities in which God has planted her.

Sarah loves staying physically active and playing in God's beautiful creation. Whether it's hiking, surfing, or playing beach volleyball, she loves it all! She loves to travel and explore the world, speaks Spanish, and hopes to one day be involved in long-term mission work in Latin America. She also loves to embrace stillness and can be found snuggled up with a good book when not out exploring.
