How much time is required for the Operation WorldView Video Series? There are eight video lessons, ranging in length from 20 to 46 minutes. With small group discussion included, each session requires a minimum of 60 minutes. Most of the video lessons (including video and film clips) are about 40 minutes. To accommodate healthy small group discussion, one hour and 15 minutes is an optimum length per session. A 16-week option also exists in which alternating weeks are devoted to small group discussion of the On your own Bible study which follows each lesson.
May the Operation WorldView Video Series be previewed
before purchase? No. However, if after

What’s the difference between the Standard Edition and the Perspectives Family Edition of the Operation WorldView Video Series?
- The Standard Edition does not have the intoductory comments of Steven Hawthorne in the Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic components.
- In Lesson Eight, The Standard Edition has an optional 30-minute segment about the ministry of Mission ONE— whereas the Perspectives Family Edition has a 12-minute segment about the Perspectives course, which consists of a 3-minute introduction by Steve Hawthorne, and three 3-minute promotion videos produced by Caleb Project.
- The Leader Study Guide/Perspectives Family Edition has promotion information for the Perspectives course. The Leader Study Guide/Standard Edition has promotion information for Mission ONE.
- The Standard Edition is $249; the Perspectives Family Edition is $269.
How is the ministry of Mission ONE promoted in the
Standard Edition of the video series? There is an optional 30-minute video portion which
may be shown at the beginning of Lesson Eight. This includes the
Founders story, plus a brief overview of the services Mission
ONE offers concerning partnership with national missionaries in
Africa and Asia. After the Mission ONE portion, the classic video
allegory, The Harvest, is shown.
If the church using this video series would prefer
not to show the material on video concerning Mission ONE, then Lesson
Eight consists only of The Harvest video plus follow-up
small group discussion. The Harvest is a powerful allegory
which concludes the series by asking, How will you be involved
in the harvest?
These options are clearly explained in the Leader
Guide portion of the Study Guide on pages 7374. The Study
Guide also has a few pages devoted to explaining the services of
Mission ONE.
How much small group interaction is designed
into the series? This video curriculum accommodates a range
of low, medium, and high levels of small group interaction. The
curriculum has two small group activities for each lesson, both
of which are contained in the Study
Guide:
- Discuss the lesson time, which follows
in the session after each video teaching
- OPTIONAL: Review of the On your own Bible study, designed to help students explore key truths in Scripture
to enhance and reinforce the video lessons. This part is optional,
but can add much depth and richness to the experience of the participant
and group.
With what other ministries has Mission ONE produced the Operation WorldView Video Series? Mission ONE gratefully recognizes that the Operation WorldView Video Series has been produced with varying degrees of association and partnership with these ministries:
Is the Operation WorldView Video Series suitable
to show to a whole congregation? Yes. The curriculum would be
particularly good for a Sunday night or Wednesday evening program,
either as a four-week or eight-week series.
