GLOBAL FOCUS:
Empowering the Local Church for Global Impact
Founded by Dr. Larry Reesor in 1995, the vision of Global Focus
is to see the global church spiritually revitalized and strategically
mobilized to fulfill its role in Gods global mission.
Bob Schindler, Mission ONE President, says, Larry Reesor
and Global Focus have been friends of Mission ONE for many years.
God has used them to introduce us to several missions-mobilized
churches, which in turn have become friends and supporters of
Mission ONE and our national partners overseas. We are grateful
and highly recommend the ministry of Global Focus to churches
who desire to develop a personalized, strategic global missions
outreach.
Christs command to Go into all the world and make disciples
of all nations is the defining call and commission He gave
to the Church. Yet, in order for this mission to be completed, Global
Focus believes the local church must understand and fulfill its
God-given role as His primary instrument.
So how do you mobilize the local church for the Great Commission?
How do you motivate and equip pastors and church leaders to lead
their churches to reach the world both locally and globally with
the message of Christ? Global Focus believes there are eight key
principles and paradigms that must be embraced and implemented in
order for the local church to maximize its global impact.
- Worship must be the primary motivation for missions.
- The local church must be seen as Gods primary instrument
to fulfill the Great Commission
- The pastor must be the key influencer for the cause of global
missions and must work in cooperation with church leaders to mobilize
the local church.
- The church must intentionally develop a corporate purpose, strategy
and personality related to Gods global cause.
- The church must understand that mobilization is a process, not
a quick fix.
- Global missions must be approached from appropriate generational
perspectives.
- Personalization must be seen as the key principle that will
unleash the local church for global missions.
- The partnership paradigm must be an essential element
in missions strategy linking the local church with missionaries,
nationals and other Great Commission people and organizations.
